That sequence doesn't look right to me. The wiring should be the same as the
switches.

Vdd->510 Ohm resistor-[node A]->button->ground.
[node A]->330 Ohm resistor-[node B]->33 uF capacitor->ground
[node B]->Schmitt trigger inverter
